Special Auction Announcement

Now on eBay, MetroDolls is pleased to offer this exquisite Tonner Doll Company OOAK doll "Place Vendome" made by Robert Tonner for the 2009 Paris Fashion Doll Festival auction.

This beautiful creation once graced the collection of Paula Kagen and uses the Cinderella sculpt on a Tyler body. The gown is white with gold sequined fabric insets and short fur sleeves.

A truly one of a kind piece created by Robert, now is your chance to obtain an item like this, usually only acquired at convention auctions.

MetroDolls will be donating all proceeds from this auction to The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind in Paula's name.

The scoop on what MetroDolls has planned for 2012-13

MetroDolls would like to share a little about what we have planned for this year. You may have already heard that we are taking a break this year from holding our luncheon, but our charitable endeavors will continue with a very special fund raising drive.

In memory of Paula Kagan, MetroDolls will be holding a series of auctions and doll sales to benefit The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind. Paula was a dear friend and generous supporter of MetroDolls as well as an advocate of numerous animal charities.

In the next week, MetroDolls will unveil the first doll in our charity drive to be auctioned off on eBay . This beauty is a one of a kind jewel by Robert Tonner that once graced Paula's own collection. More information will be posted on our blog and doll boards very soon!

On another note, we were very saddened on the passing of club member Rene Mandel last winter. Twenty-five dolls from Rene's collection have been given to us for the purpose of MetroDolls fund raising. These dolls are now posted on our web site under the tab Rene's Dolls at the top of the page. Be sure to check them out!

Be sure to check back for more details and information on all we're doing including announcements on future luncheon plans!
