Our Savoy Affair luncheon today at the beautiful Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank was fantastic!  MetroDolls club members did an amazing job getting everything prepared for this special day and we raised over $11,000 for Share Our Strength/No Kid Hungry with our OOAK charity auction.

Our members got into the "Deco" spirit with our souvenir doll artist Robert Tonner:

There were lots of generously donated items in the helper raffle:

Guests had a little souvenir greeting at each table setting:

The tables featured a pair of magnificent Erte-inspired centerpiece dolls by Joshua David McKinney - Dark Star Bleu and Silver Star Pidgin (Obsidian):

Attendees received a gift bag with a 20's-inspired outfit "Savoy Ahoy".

John Davey shared some of his 1920's clothing by Fortuny, Babani, Poiret, Gallenga and more.  It was a gorgeous array of flapper dresses, evening coats, Egyptian revival clothing, accessories and other fine examples of 1920's haute couture.

There were many things to shop for with vendors including Facets Boutique, Sandra Stillwell Presents, Happily Ever After, Jeff Lega, Monica's Knits and Robbin Atwell's purses.   Joshua McKinney showed his upcoming 12" Pidgin Petites.

The MetroDolls sales table had a few limited edition items to take home - 3 Delphos sets with colorful kimonos, Deco Days linen coat with purse and cloche hat by Gudrun Eder and Deco Nights black cocoon coat with accessories.

There was also a special Art Deco photographic backdrop for sale:

Gasps of delight came with the reveal of the Savoy Affair Sydney doll by Robert Tonner...

During the afternoon, Robert Tonner spoke about the transformative year for his business and the new products he is working on.  Please be sure to check out www.roberttonnerdesign.com in the coming weeks to see some more information!

Joshua McKinney also shared his history of how he got involved with fashions and doll making and shared some wonderful videos that he has created for the "Sweet" Snapchat channel (like this clip - https://www.facebook.com/PidginDoll/videos/476393729574193/).  He is currently working on a new set of them for Seventeen Magazine, so follow his Facebook page for more information on those!

MetroDolls thanks everyone for their support!
